Tanbu Regency Government Proposed a Flight Route of Batulicin-Jakarta

Batulicin (ANTARA) – The Tanah Bumbu Regency Government in South Kalimantan planned to open a new flight route from Bersujud Airport in Batulicin to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta.

“This discourse will be carried out to sustain and support the development of the nation’s new capital in Kalimantan,” said the Head of the Transportation Agency of Tanah Bumbu, Wisny, in Batulicin, on Monday.

He said that Garuda Indonesia would serve the passangers from Batulicin to Jakarta with approximately-90-seat Jet Bombardier-type planes.

Currently, the regional government had conducted a deeper coordination with Garuda Indonesia and the operation probably would start in the end of December 2019.

The plane trip would be scheduled thrice a week, however the certainty for the departure time would be adjusted.

The regional government and the airline had agreed on, but there was problem related to the refilling of the plane’s fuel from Pertamina.

“The latest information, Garuda Indonesia has proposed to Pertamina for aligning with the program, and we hope it will be approved,” he said. The other supporting facilities such as the airport in Tanah Bumbu were very equalling that it was very possible to operate jet-type planes.

“Besides that, the regional government also proposed to open a new flight route between Bersujud Airport, Batulicin and Juanda International Airport, Surabaya using the Batavia Airlines, but currently we still focused on handling the Batulicin-Jakarta flight,” he said.
